You receive the following error when installing VIPRE:
Error 1622: Error opening installation log file. Verify that the specified log file location exists and is writable
To fix this problem, navigate to the temporary files directory and delete the MSI Log file located in there. To navigate to the correct temporary files location, you can do the following:
Attempt the installation again. If you receive the same error, clear the contents of the temp folder. If clearing the temp folder does not fix this problem, follow the instructions in the following article:
Many of these errors can occur with general computer usage. Uninstalling applications, applying updates and sometimes manual changes to some Windows components can cause these problems to surface.
